From the practitioner: About My Practice

Joseph J. Lamb, M.D. completed his graduate education at the Medical College of Virginia and his Internal Medicine residency at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He is doubly board-certified in Internal Medicine and Holistic Medicine/Integrative Medicine. In 2013, he achieved certification as an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. He is the past Director of Intramural Clinical Research at the Functional Medicine Research Center and past Medical Director at the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Center. From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Lamb practiced at the Hypertension Institute in Nashville. Dr. Lamb has been the Medical Director for Nature's Sunshine Products since 2014.

From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect

I specialize in Internal and Functional Medicine with a special interest in cardio-metabolic disorders. I see a broad range of health issues including autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic Lyme disease, thyroid and other hormonal disorders. I strongly believe that health is more than the simple absence of disease. Our goal is to provide assistance as you journey through illness and disease to optimal wellness. I also believe that a combination of lifestyle changes (better food choices, exercise, an active mind body spirit wellness practice, nutritional supplements, medical foods, etc.) with the latest diagnostic testing and pharmaceuticals is the best approach to address most medical conditions.
