From the practitioner: About My Practice

At Hygieia your health issues will be viewed in their entirety and addressed using a Functional Medicine approach. As an MD, and member of the the IFM, I use science based diagnostic testing to identify the root cause of my patients health problems, and to educate and empower them to make changes to their lifestyle.
At Hygieia you can expect to receive a highly personalized treatment plan. We will listen emphatically and work tirelessly to help you achieve the health that you deserve.

From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect

Many of my patients come to me after suffering from complex and often long term health issues. For this reason my patients can expect to spend a lot of time with me at the beginning of our relationship with the initial consultation lasting 2 hours.

Following this I will recommend a number of diagnostic tests to understand the causes of any health issues and to prevent against any future concerns. This may result in me making a number of recommendations in lifestyle and diet changes, and in some cases a long term maintenance supplement plan. As an MD I am able to prescribe medications as a last resort and to asses any current medications you are on however, my preference is towards high quality botanicals and nutritional supplements.
