From the practitioner: About My Practice
Having practiced conventional medicine for over two decades, I have gained a deep understanding of disease processes. Utilizing the functional medicine operating system which is informed by evidence, I work with patients to peel the layers of their illness and uncover the root causes. The body is an integrated system affected by many lifestyle factors. I consider the WHOLE person in the treatment plan, not merely their symptoms to achieve their health goals.
From the practitioner: What Patients Can Expect
I spend the time with patients to take a comprehensive history of symptoms, lifestyle and exposures so I can get to know each person well. In partnership with the patient, I offer optional advanced tests to identify systemic imbalances which can then be corrected to restore function. A personalized treatment plan includes nutrition and lifestyle guide, supplements and at times medications as necessary. On subsequent visits we track their progress and tools are provided to empower the patient to maintain optimal health.
