Scholarships and Student Tuition Rates
Scholarships
IFM offers medical student and resident tuition rates and faculty scholarships to attend IFM educational programs. Scholarships are also awarded to clinicians at government hospitals and those working in underserved populations. As of December 2017, IFM had provided more than $1,000,000 in scholarships to support the education and training of clinical and teaching faculty, medical residents and students, clinicians, and program directors.
IFM’s academic faculty scholarship program support the introduction and integration of Functional Medicine and Functional Nutrition into academic health centers, universities, and professional training programs. Program scholarships are awarded for programs in IFM’s Certification Program (IFMCP). These programs include Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and the six Advanced Practice Modules (APMs): Cardiometabolic, Immune, Hormone, Bioenergetics (formerly Energy), GI, and Environmental Health (formerly Detox).
Each year IFM awards scholarships to selected institutions and programs. IFM’s 2019 scholarship recipients include:
- Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine
- Integrative Medicine for the Underserved (IM4US)
- Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine San Diego
- Additional institutions may be added
Scholarships may be awarded to faculty outside of the selected programs on a case-by-case basis. For more information regarding scholarships, contact us at scholarships@ifm.org.
