Eligible Programs

Functional medicine prepares you to provide your patients with the most compassionate, caring, and comprehensive care possible. Complementing your healthcare education with functional medicine training prepares you to do just that. Eligible students receive a discounted tuition rate on IFM’s core functional medicine curriculum (including those that prepare eligible candidates for functional medicine certification) and annual membership. Approved residents and healthcare students can register for any qualified program within 12 months of application approval. Please note that the student tuition rate cannot be combined with other discounts. Academic discounts are subject to change by IFM without notice.

Healthcare students and residents on a path toward a variety of medical degrees and disciplines are eligible for the Student & Resident Tuition Program.   • Doctor of Chiropractic (DC)
  • Doctor of Naprapathy (DN)
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD)
  • Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
  • Medical Doctor (MD)
  • Mental Health Professionals (e.g., psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • Naturopathic Doctor (ND)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Nutrition Professionals (e.g., CNS, RD, NT)
  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Pharmacist (RPh/PharmD)

CNS Degrees

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be registered in an ACNPE-accredited program or in a program that meets eligibility requirements for the CNS Credential.
  • Provide a letter of intent documenting anticipated exam date. Exam information can be found on BCNS’s website. 

Application Process

Residents and medical students can apply for this program online by filling out the application form below. Approved applicants will be approved for one year (12 months) from the date of acceptance into the program. 
  

Proof of Enrollment

Proof of enrollment in a healthcare institution is required. In the application form, you will attach a PDF document that clearly states the degree-seeking program, current student status, and the expected program end date. If you have more than one document to attach, use the additional field.
