Dan Lukaczer, ND
Dan Lukaczer, ND, has been a practicing naturopathic doctor for over 30 years and has played an integral role in the development of the functional medicine approach for the past two decades. In his role as a director of medical education, Dan has been responsible for the delivery and maintenance of IFM’s core functional medicine training & curriculum. In addition, he helped develop and launch IFM’s work on the international stage. Dan is also responsible for the curriculum of IFM’s Annual International Conferences (AICs). Since its launch in 2009, the first iteration of certification—The IFM Certification Program—grew under his stewardship.
Dan received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. He has been involved with functional medicine for over 25 years, first as an educator and consultant and then joining IFM fulltime in 2007. He is past director of clinical research at Metagenics’ Functional Medicine Research Center and continues to maintain a private practice in Tacoma, WA. He also continues to teach and write on various topics around functional medicine.
Outside of IFM, Dan enjoys gardening and hiking in the Pacific Northwest with friends and family.
