Richard Mayfield, DC, CCN
Richard Mayfield, DC, CCN, DACBN, IFMCP, received his chiropractic doctorate at the Northwestern Health Sciences University. He is double board certified in clinical nutrition. He has augmented his training with extensive postgraduate studies in nutritional and functional medicine since 1977. He has been a functional medicine consultant and educator to physicians, academic institutions, and corporations for the past 42 years. Since 2018, he has been the Chief Science Officer for NutriDyn, Inc., and is responsible for creating evidence-based nutraceutical/phytochemical labels. In this role, he also delivers educational science content for healthcare providers to understand how they can improve patient disorders with functional medicine fundamentals and nutritional protocols. Since 2009, he has been the director of the Center for Well Being in Edina, MN, and its predecessor wellness clinics, including the Minnesota Center for Functional Medicine beginning in 1981. His practice has an emphasis on applied nutrition, functional medicine, natural medicine, and chiropractic/soft tissue release methods. In addition, he customizes restorative therapies that seek versatility through patient-specific technology that is science-based, including pulsed electromagnetic field and photobiomodulation class IV laser therapy devices.
