Gary Goldman, MD
Gary Goldman, MD, specializes in gynecology, integrative women’s health, and Functional Medicine.
Dr. Goldman graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience as well as a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. He then attended medical school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he earned his MD with Distinction in Research and was elected to the national medical college honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
He received his training in obstetrics and gynecology at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center as a resident from 1986-1990, serving as chief resident in his final year, and has remained at that institution thereafter. Since its merger with Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in 1998, the institution is now known as NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Goldman continues to maintain an academic appointment there ever since. New York Presbyterian Hospital and their Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are both currently ranked number four in the nation by US News and World Report.
Dr. Goldman has also completed training through The Institute for Functional Medicine. This groundbreaking field is a deeply personalized approach to medical care, evaluating the root cause of illness through examining each individual’s biochemistry, physiology, and genetics. Lifestyle, diet, nutritional supplements, and standard medical care are integrated into a care plan designed to combat disease, mitigate chronic illness, and prolong longevity.
